Classification Staff | Member of Medical Services Team
Reports to Medical Services Manager
Performs limited OB ultrasounds and excellent patient care. Ensures ultrasound scanning methods, procedures and equipment are consistent with OSHA requirements and generally accepted practices and principles.
Patient Ultrasound Exams
Communicates and works well with the nurse and advocate working with each patient. Dresses professionally and ensures patient feels welcome upon arrival. Prepares equipment and patient for ultrasound scan. Obtains necessary medical history on pertinent forms and documentation in computer. Cleans and disinfects vaginal probe and prepares equipment for the next patient. Completes log sheets for documentation and follow up care. Practices patient confidentiality in accordance to HIPPA regulations. Communicates well with our doctor when necessary. Ensures OSHA guidelines are followed.
Maintain professional registry and CPR certification. Enhances professional and personal knowledge and skills specifically in the areas of pro-life matters and women’s health on an ongoing and continual basis through formal training, CE’s, seminars, programs, literature search and networking.
