Advancement Coordinator

(Part-time, 30 hrs)

Classification Staff | Member of Advancement Team
Reports to Advancement Director

Primary Function

The Advancement Coordinator assists the advancement team in raising funds to support our growing nonprofit organization and expand our donor base and visibility. This role supports the Advancement team in carrying out projects and tasks that support the fundraising goals and strategic objectives of the organization.

Job Duties

  • Advancement

    • Responsible for gift processing and acknowledgement production. Receives and records gifts, inputs donations, pledges and gifts-in-kind.

    • Prepares and makes deposits at bank.

    • Reconciles gift income.

    • Prepares mailing lists and reports from donor management system.

    • Responsible for all applicable administrative activities associated with fundraising programs and events.

    • Assist the Executive Director in maintaining relationships with donors and other administrative tasks.

    • Assist with blogging and social media research.

    • Manages volunteer opportunities as relates to Advancement.

    • Other duties as assigned.

  • Stewardship

    • Create spirit of gratitude for all gifts of time, talent and treasure in a timely manner.

    • Nurtures and cultivates all constituent relationships.

  • Excellent team oriented and relationship skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good computer skills and working knowledge of Advancement Database.

  • A working style that is self-directed and organized.

  • Communicate effectively in both written and oral formats.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, donor base software, and QuickBooks.

Physical Demands

Activities in performance of duties include sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 20lbs, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, keystroking on a keyboard or similar device, talking, hearing and seeing.
