Energy Assistance Worker
Employment Opportunities: The Pennsylvania Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is currently recruiting to fill 100 Energy Assistance Worker vacancies throughout the Commonwealth.
Nature of Work: This is full-time seasonal employment interviewing applicants and performing related clerical work in taking and processing claims for assistance under the Department of Health and Human Service’s Energy Assistance Program. An employee in this position will participate in on-the-job and formal training courses. Job duties include interviewing applicants seeking assistance for payment of residential energy bills; completing application forms; validating data; performing data entry of information acquired; and contacting appropriate vendors for payment of energy bills.
In order to be considered, applicants must meet Pennsylvania Residency requirement and pass the Civil Service test for Energy Assistance Worker.
Starting Salary: $16.79 per hour
